Tara Stanley, LAC
I am a clinically trained counselor with a Master’s degree in Psychology with ten years of experience helping individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, trauma, depression, and addiction. My approach focuses on harnessing both your strengths and struggles to foster empowerment, internal trust, compassion, and self-understanding. Together, we will move through the healing process to cultivate inner alignment, clarity, and mental strength. I am deeply committed to your well-being and personal growth, providing a safe and supportive space to explore whatever arises.
I earned my Master’s at Naropa University, an institution internationally recognized for integrating rigorous clinical training with mindfulness and humanistic principles. My work draws from CBT, Gestalt, somatic therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), blending evidence-based methods with a deeply attuned, client-centered approach.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to walk with you, supporting your process of self-discovery, healing, and growth, as you reconnect with your natural strength and potential. Please don’t hesitate to reach out when you’re ready.

My Specializations:
-
Unresolved childhood trauma can shape how we see ourselves and the world. I help clients gently reconnect with the younger parts of themselves that still carry pain, shame, or fear. Through compassionate awareness and somatic grounding, we begin to restore safety within the body and self-trust, allowing healing to unfold from the inside out.
-
Depression often feels like a disconnection from life, purpose, and your own vitality. Together, we explore what lies beneath the heaviness, uncovering unmet needs and inner conflicts with care and curiosity. My approach helps clients rekindle connection, meaning, and self-compassion, creating space for renewed energy and hope.
-
Substance use is often a way of easing unbearable pain or emptiness. I work with clients to understand the deeper emotions and experiences driving these patterns, rather than judging or suppressing them. Healing emerges through understanding, emotional integration, and learning to meet your needs in ways that honor your wholeness.
